Charein R. Faraj is a contract lawyer, legal technologist, and founder of Innovation Attorney & Consulting. She helps startups, legal departments, and creative professionals navigate contracts, privacy laws, and emerging technologies with clarity and a modern, business-focused approach.
Her career spans private practice, in-house legal tech, and consulting, with a focus on contract negotiation, AI integration, and privacy compliance. Charein previously served as a Legal Solutions Architect at LexCheck, where she worked with law firms and corporate legal teams to implement AI-powered contract review systems and improve operational efficiency.
Through Innovation Attorney & Consulting, she provides both legal services and consulting from an attorney’s perspective, helping businesses adopt legal technology responsibly while protecting what matters most. She brings a practical and collaborative mindset to every engagement—whether drafting a SaaS agreement, supporting a privacy audit, or advising on AI and automation strategies.
She earned her J.D. from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, where she was a Law Fellow and served as a judicial intern to a federal judge in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and is currently pursuing CIPP/US certification in data privacy.
